Me VS Sewing Pattern

The thing about working with
sewing patterns is that they tell
you how to make something...and they
tell you what it supposed to look like
after you are done.  But while you're making
it, you have no idea what if what you
are making is going to look like
what its supposed to.
But, when you make it all yourself...
yeah, you don't have any help
because only you know what
it supposed to look like...and no one
can tell you you're doing it wrong, because
you're making it.

Trekking into new territories of possibly
pattern making...we'll see.

Organize, Organize, Organize

Working on getting my fabrics together,
getting my work area together
and then start on dresses.
Always scarry doing something
you've never done before...
but that's life right?
We can't always have someone
holding our hand...
Plus, I'm open for error...sigh!

Shop Established

Balance is key.  I don't know how I did it, but I actually found time to do my craft.  Between working, cooking, washing dishes...there's a small window of time where I can do what I need to do.
It took a little while to find, but I'm really glad I did.  It feels so good to finish things that we started.

Looking forward to Saturday's event.
Hope to see you there.

Sometimes...

When we undo and redo...
You find that it's not that hard
after all.  It was easier
than you thought it would be.
Forward we go...one purse down
and one to go.
Purse project photo gallery coming up.

Sometimes we are better than we think we are.
It's okay to challenge yourselves...
it may be not be as hard as you think.

Logic vs Art

I start with my vision,
what I want and how
I want things to look...
then logic gets in the way.
Reasons why it can't
work that way...or why
I have to undo and then
redo...S I G H S ! ! !
