Giving Thanks

Thank you to everyone who have been supportive of us and our ideas.  Those who have allowed us to be ourselves unapologetically.  It means just as much when you are not mean as it does when are you nice.

Directions

As we live our lives, we move about in the world as if we are the only ones in it.  Until you find yourself on a road you've never been on before.  Where nothing is familiar and everything seems shifty.
If you are lucky enough, someone will stop and help you out along the way.  Show you the best way to get around, the safer way to go.  We are reminded that we are not alone in this world. That there are other people out there, some willing to help, others would rather turn away.  And both are ok.  It's okay to not help out others, as long as your aware that no one may be there for you when you need it.
I like Karma.  Someone helps us me today, so that I may help someone someday.
On the road to creativity, ask for directions.  Someone has been there before and they are willing to help.

Fuel

The hard thing about doing something is believing in the process.  Knowing that as you are doing something inane or mundane that it is all part of a bigger goal, the larger picture.  One must stay motivated to keep going.  One has to stay focused and not stray into the daily hustle of life.  Because we all know that the daily routines of life is what keeps us down.  It's what makes us think that we can't possibly do anymore today than we already have.  But we can and we should.  Because that is the only we will ever get any further than where we are now.
Instead of looking at the daily routines as a hinderance, we should look at it as part of the process, because it is.  Just as we have to do the laundry, we also have to better ourselves if we want more out of this life.  We have to stay motivated and believe that we are doing something for ourselves.  Nothing worth doing is ever easy.  Most things that come easy are hardly of substance.

Creative Drive

It's exhilarating to destroy and create and create some more.  But it's also exhausting, I suppose that goes without saying.  The mind constantly wonders into what I could do and how I could do it, non-stop.  Always on, it's the body that cannot keep up.  But I'm up for it and I'm ready for it.
To fail now is to know you need more planning and more doing.  To succeed now means to keep up the hard work and never let up.  Neither of which can be defined until I am 6ft under.
With that said, let us keep chugging along.  However slow or fast we go thru this life, it's not what we take with us to the grave that makes the difference, it's what we leave behind.

Palengke Fair - San Francisco

Challenge still accepted with 3 weeks to create an inventory.  But what the heck, nothing to it right?  Along with making at least 10 bags for the Fair, I also need to make other things.  Ideas flying around, possibly key chains, ornaments and maybe even a few small trees for center pieces.  Three weeks is not a long time, so every minute has to count.  I'm reminded of origami.  Where no fold is made without use.
I'm not sure I'm breathing right now, I feel a bit overwhelmed.  But the alternative is not an option.  Because we know what happens when we don't do anything.

Projects...projects....

Fixing the wheel, while the engine is running...
That's the City life for you.  But something's gotta give and I guess it's me.  Things need to get done and I need to do them.  There are things things that I would like to do that also should get done.  But who has the energy right?  Who has the time?  Who has the spirit?  Anyone?
Me again...it's hard, but the art is just as important as the things that need to get done...the laundry, the bills, the cleaning of the bathrooms, the list go on.  And on and on...but that's the same for everyone, right?
It's all important...but who has the time?  Labor of love I suppose, you make time even when there couldn't possibly be any time.
Here's to the crafty in us all.  The ladie's who knit on the bus and the the trains, the ladies and gents all over who do what they do and inspire us at the fairs and markets.
I wanna do it do it, and if they can make the time, I can too, right?
Guess we'll see.
Taking on the task of 10 bags in 5 weeks and possibly a few more pieces of items in the same time period.
Challenge accepted.
